Mitchells Contract and Benefits

Mitchells contract is a 4 year contract running from April 1,2003 to April 1,2007. Wages- Employees hired before Aug.14,1998 have a $ .30 increase, bringing the Base rate to $15.87 and have the bracket system. Employees hired on or after Aug.14,1998-April 1,2003 have the starting rate increased to $8.50, and base rate after a 3 year progression of $11.10 and have the class system.

Benefits: Pension Plan: Long service award has an increase of $2.00 per month, retroactive to $22.00 per month. 37 Hour Gaurantee remains. Probation Period is changed to 520 Hours. Quilted vest allowance increased to $35.00 CSA Safety Approved boots allowance has been increased to $75.00 Vision Care has been increased from $125.00 to $200.00 to be used once every 2 years. Maintenance Rate - April 1,2003 - $ .30 increase to Base rate April 1,2004 - Increase of 3 brackets($ .24) April 1,2005 - Increase of 3 brackets($ .24) April 1,2006 - Increase of 3 brackets($ .24) April 1,2007 - Increase of 3 brackets($ .24) Apprenticeship - After 1st. year of apprentice - 25% of Journeyman Rate. After 2nd. year of apprentice - 50% of Journeyman Rate. After 3rd. year of apprentice - 75% of Journeyman Rate. After 4th. year of apprentice - 100%, full Journeyman Rate. Direct Deposit for all employees, on a weekly basis.
